Import members into a community

You can add multiple members to your community at the same time using the import tool on the Members page. You must be a community owner to import members into a community.


Import members is only available when e-mail is configured to be displayed for your deployment. If your administrator has configured e-mail to be hidden, then the Import Members button does not display in the user interface.


To import members into a community...

  1. Open the Members page of the community where you want to import the members.

  2. Click Import Members.

  3. Select a membership role for the new members. All the members are given the same role.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • To import people using their e-mail addresses:

      1. Select Enter comma-separated email addresses of members to import to this community.

      2. Enter the e-mail addresses of the people that you want to import and click Import.

    • To import members from a comma-separated value (CSV) file:

      1. Click Select a CSV file and import members to this community.

      2. Click Browse to locate the CSV file containing the information that you want to import.

      3. Click Import.
