Add a discussion topic

Start a discussion with members of your community by adding a topic to the community forum. Anyone who can access the forum can view the new topic.


The Discussion Forum feature must be enabled for your community for you to be able to add a discussion topic. In addition, be a community member to post a discussion topic to a community forum.


To add a discussion topic...

  1. On the community's Overview page, click Start a topic in the Discussion Forum area of the page.

  2. Type the title of the discussion topic in the Title field.

  3. Type the message of the topic in the Message field. Be as descriptive as possible. Remember that you want to start a discussion, so include relevant information to interest other community members and get them involved.

  4. Optional: To receive an e-mail notification when your topic receives a reply, click Notify me when anyone replies to this topic.

  5. Click OK.
