Removing the discussion forum
If your community does not need a discussion forum, you can remove this feature from the community. You can delete the forum permanently, or hide it temporarily and add it to the community again later. You must be a community owner to remove a community's discussion forum.
Every community has a discussion forum by default. However, as a community owner, if you decide that your community does not need a place for discussion, you can remove the forum from the community. You can remove the forum permanently, in which case all the forum content is deleted. Or, you can remove the forum temporarily. Removing a forum temporarily does not delete any of the forum content. You can restore the forum to the community at any time, in which case the information previously added to the forum is recovered and displayed.To remove a discussion forum, do one of the following:
- To hide the forum:
- Select Hide from the Discussion Forum action menu.
- To delete the forum:
- Select Delete from the Discussion Forum action menu. Selecting this option deletes all of the forum content permanently.
