Add a bookmark from a Web page

Use the bookmark button control provided by IBM Lotus Connections to add a Bookmark this! button to your Web browser. After the button is added to your browser toolbar, when you find a Web page that you want to add to a community, you can click the button to add the Web page as a bookmark to the community.


Before adding a bookmark to a community using the Bookmark this! button, add the button control to your Web browser. To do so...

  1. Click How to Bookmark in the Tools area of the Lotus Connections footer.

  2. Follow the instructions in the page to add the Bookmark this! button to your Web browser.


To add a bookmark to a community from the Web site that you want to bookmark...

  1. From a Web page that you want to bookmark for a community, click Bookmark this!.

  2. Edit the name of the Web site that displays in the Title field, if required.

  3. Type a description that reflects the content of the bookmark in the Description field.

  4. Add one or more tags that describe the content of the bookmark link.

  5. To specify the community to which you want to add the bookmark, click Add to Communities, and then select the community from the list displayed in the Community field.

  6. Optional: Select Add to important bookmarks to add the link to the list of important bookmarks on the community's Overview page.

  7. Optional: To prompt a discussion of the bookmark with your fellow community members, enter a message in the Message for discussion field.

  8. Click Save to add the bookmark to the community
