Configure the 4-in-1 bookmark form

If you have one or more Lotus Connections services installed under a different domain from Bookmarks, configure Bookmarks so that it can exchange authentication information with the servers for the other services.

The new bookmark form allows users to post bookmarks to Communities, Blogs, and Activities as well as to Bookmarks. The posting is done via the API, so the authentication data for the bookmark form must be accepted by the servers where the other Lotus Connections components are installed. Configure your Websphere Application Server (WAS) to accept authentication between the servers.

  1. Export keys of the server where Bookmarks is installed, as follows:

    1. Log into the WAS admin console and go to Secure administration, applications, and infrastructure > Authentication mechanisms and expiration.

    2. Under the Cross-cell single sign-on group, type a password, then confirm it. This password is used to encrypt the keys file.

    3. Enter the file name in the Fully qualified key file name field and click Export Keys. The encrypted keys are stored in the specified file – for example, c:/mykey.

  2. Import the keys, as follows:

    1. Copy the keys file created in step 1, and paste it on the server you want to import the keys. Remember the file path, you will need it soon.

    2. Log into the WAS admin console and go to Secure administration, applications, and infrastructure > Authentication mechanisms and expiration.

    3. Under the Cross-cell single sign-on group, type the password then confirm it. The password should be the same as you specified in Step 1.

    4. Enter the file name (where you put the keys file) in the Fully qualified key file name field and click Import Keys.

  3. Click Save.

  4. Restart the Websphere Application Server. Only the servers which imported the key file need to restart. The keys won't work until you restart the server.
