Manage uploaded files
Protect the integrity and performance of your implementation of Activities by designating a size limit for the files that can be uploaded to the site and by running potential upload files through a content filter to ensure the content is virus-free.
- Enable virus scanning in Activities
The way that you set up virus scanning has changed with 2.5. You no longer edit the oa-config.xml file. You use the same method used to enable virus scanning in the other features which involves editing the LotusConnections-config.xml file. See "Enabling virus scanning" for details.- Set limits on uploaded files
Edit configuration property settings to limit the types of files that can be uploaded into Activities, the maximum size of an uploaded file, and the number of server threads concurrently dedicated to downloading files from Activities to clients.- Define multiple content stores
You can configure Activities to use a different content store in addition to the one defined at installation time. You might want to add another content store if the current disk space reaches capacity or you augment your infrastructure and there is a new drive with more disk space available, for example. Another situation in which you would want to add another content store is if the number of entries in the current file system approaches the maximum number supported. For example, a on a Journal File System (JFS) and JFS2 on AIX allows for a maximum of 32K subdirectories only.- Move the content store
You can configure Activities to use a different content store from the one defined at installation time. You might want to change content stores if you augment your infrastructure and there is a new drive with more disk space available, for example.- Backing up Activities data
Activities stores data in both a database and the file system. You should backup both sets of data on a regular basis.- Restore Activities data
You can restore Activities data to a previously backed up version.
