The Files feature provides metrics that you can use to monitor operations and make configuration adjustments when necessary.

Metrics and what they measure

This table describes each of the available personal file metrics for the Files feature. The term media means files.

Personal files metrics

Metric Description
files.metric.personal.user.count Total number of users in the system, some of which might be provisioned and never logged in.
files.metric.personal.user.created.today.count Total number of new users provisioned on this day.
files.metric.personal.user.login.count Total number of users who have logged in at least once.
files.metric.personal.user.login.today.count Number of users who logged in on this day.
files.metric.personal.user.login.last7.count Number of users who logged in within the previous seven days.
files.metric.personal.user.login.last30.count Number of users who logged in within the previous 30 days.
files.metric.personal.library.count Total number of the number of users who have logged in that can have a personal library.
files.metric.personal.library.created.today.count Number of libraries created today.
files.metric.personal.library.size Total size in bytes of all libraries binary data on disk.
files.metric.personal.library.size.bucket1.count Number of libraries whose size is between 1 byte and 5 MB.
files.metric.personal.library.size.bucket2.count Number of libraries whose size is between 5 MB and 50 MB.
files.metric.personal.library.size.bucket3.count Number of libraries whose size is between 50 MB and 150 MB.
files.metric.personal.library.size.bucket4.count Number of libraries whose size is between 150 MB and 350 MB.
files.metric.personal.library.size.bucket5.count Number of libraries whose size is greater than 350 MB.
files.metric.personal.media.count Number of media (files).
files.metric.personal.media.size Total size in bytes of all binary data for media. This excludes previous versions and attachments.
files.metric.personal.mimeType.distinct.count Number of distinct MIME types used across all binary items.
files.metric.personal.media.updated.today.count Number of media updated on this day.
files.metric.personal.medias.updated.7days Number of media updated within the previous seven days.
files.metric.personal.media.updated.last30.count Number of media updated within the previous 30 days.
files.metric.personal.media.download.count Number of times all media were downloaded, including page display, for either authenticated or anonymous users.
files.metric.personal.media.download.anonymous.count Number of times all media were downloaded (anonymous users only).
files.metric.personal.media.download.today.distinct.count Number of distinct media that were downloaded or viewed on this day.
files.metric.personal.media.download.last7.distinct.count Number of distinct media that were downloaded or viewed within the previous seven days.
files.metric.personal.media.download.last30.distinct.count Number of distinct media that were downloaded or viewed within the previous 30 days.
files.metric.personal.media.share.count Number of shares in the system (with each user for each media counting as one share).
files.metric.personal.media.revision.count Number of retained revisions for all media. Includes the current revision.
files.metric.personal.media.revision.distinct.media.count Number of distinct media that have at least one old revision.
files.metric.personal.media.revision.size Total size in bytes of all binary data for media revisions. Does not include current revision.
files.metric.personal.media.public.count Number of media that are visible to all users.
files.metric.personal.media.private.count Number of media that are visible only to the owner.
files.metric.personal.media.shared.count Number of media that are visible only to a select set of users.
files.metric.personal.comment.media.count Number of comments.
files.metric.personal.comment.media.user.distinct.count Number of distinct users who have commented.
files.metric.personal.comment.media.distinct.count Number of distinct media that have comments.
files.metric.personal.media.collection.create.today.count Number of collections created today.

files.metric.personal.media.collection.item.count Number of items in all collections.
