Manage status updates and the board
Edit configuration files to control whether the board is enabled or disabled globally. If you enable the board, you can restrict access to people in the board owner's network. You can also specify whether the board displays on certain pages in Profiles, and whether users can update their status from the My Profiles page.

The board feature allows users to connect with people in their network by posting messages to their profile and commenting on their status message. As administrator, you can enable or disable the board globally depending on your organization's needs. You can also control whether the board displays on certain pages in Profiles.- Enable status updates
Configure the profiles-config.xml file to enable users to update their status from their profile.
