Explanation
The installation program does not recognize the name that you entered in the User field. On UNIX-based systems, the Managing Server must run under an existing user on this computer.
Operator response
Take one of the following actions:
- Enter a valid name for an existing user in the User field. The user name must not contain spaces.
- Create a new user for the product component (Managing Server). Add the new user to an existing group or create both a new user and a new group. The user and group names must not contain spaces.
Notes:
- You do not need to exit the installation program to create a user or group. When you are finished, enter the new user name in the User field.
- To work with users and groups, you can use admintool on Solaris, smit on AIX, linuxconf on Linux, or any text editor such as VI.
