BWMCR8191W: The Managing Server cannot connect to the data collector.


Explanation

Communications between the Managing Server and data collector may not be functioning.


Operator response

  1. Verify that the host name or IP address that you specified for the data collector is correct.

  2. Verify that the Managing Server can resolve the host name or IP address of the data collector.

  3. Verify that the firewall is enabled on the data collector machine.

  4. Verify that the RMI Port Number and Controller RMI Port Number are not blocked by firewall software on the data collector host machine.
