IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Application Diagnostics, Version 7.1.0.1

BWMCR8367E: The management server upgrade configuration did not complete successfully.

Explanation

This error can occur if WAS migration has not been completed successfully. For example, if WAS 6.0 cannot be stopped and started correctly. This error can also occur if the installation program encounters a problem while trying to update the database tables in the database. A rollback of the TMTP application and database is performed automatically.

Operator response

To resolve this error, the user performing the installation can review the installation and management server log files for more information about the failure. Access these log files in the common logging directory. The installation log file is named trace-install.log. The management server log file is named trace-ms.log. WAS 5.1 is backed up before upgrade and restored as part of rollback. Verify WAS 5.1 is operational. If the old TMTP application is running, try upgrade again. If not, restore WAS 5.1 manually from was51_backup.zip in WAS 5.1 directory, this file is created as part of WAS migration process. Start WAS 5.1 and rerun the upgrade again.
