IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Application Diagnostics, Version 7.1.0.1

BWMCR8353E: The management server configuration did not remove properly during the fix pack uninstallation and might not have been completely removed.

Explanation

This error can occur if another process locks the required files so that the files cannot be replaced and rolled back from the backup copy. For example, if WAS does not shutdown correctly during fix pack uninstallation, required files can remain locked. This error can also occur while trying to roll back the database tables in the database.

Operator response

To resolve this error, the user performing the fix pack uninstallation must stop the process that is locking the files. If you cannot find the process that is locking the files, reboot the computer to stop the process. Review the installation and management server trace log files for more information about the failure. Access these log files in the common logging directory. The installation log file is named trace-install.log. The management server log file is named trace-ms.log. Follow the steps in the documentation to verify that the management server is completely removed from the computer before attempting to reinstall.
