Windows From a IBM DB2 command-line processor enter the following command: 
db2start
UNIX and Linux

  1. If you are not currently logged in as the DB2 instance user, enter the following command: 
    su - db2_instance_user_name

    See Users created prior to or during the installation for a description of db2_instance_user_name.

  2. Enter the following command: 
    db2start
