Define the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics filter path

  1. Use the Patrol EM Console, define the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics filter path.

  2. Click Customization > Path Definition.

  3. The Path Definition panel displays.

  4. To create the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics path, select Path > New.

  5. Enter AM for the path name.

  6. Left-click the Filter icon and select multi_lstn for the Path Prototype.

  7. The multi-lstn path prototype defines the path attributes.

  8. Set the required path attributes to the following values:
    Autostart = true
    Filter = AM
    Host ID = name_of_your_Patrol_EM_server 
    The attributes URM files size and URM filename are optional.

  9. Attribute values are set by selecting the attribute in the Available Attributes box, typing in or selecting the desired value in the Attribute Details box, then selecting the Add/Replace button. The completed path definition displays in the Path Definition panel.

  10. Click Path > Save to DB.

  11. Select Yes to update the configuration.

  12. Exit from the Path Definition panel.

  13. Use the Patrol EM Console, obtain the configuration: click Admin > Obtain Configuration.

  14. Verify that the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics filter path is running by selecting FIlter Path Mgmt from the Patrol EM Console’s Admin menu. The Filter Path Management panel displays. The ITCAM for Application Diagnostics path must be listed in the Active Filter Paths box.
