Set up the e-mail host
ITCAM for Application Diagnostics includes a traps feature that enables you to have e-mail messages sent when certain thresholds are reached. To have this feature work correctly, the SMTP host needs to be specified.
The Performance Analysis & Reporting (PAR) section and the Traps section will not e-mail reports without this step.
To do this, edit the file:
MS_home/etc/md.propertiesand specify the correct IP address or fully qualified host name of the SMTP host. (A valid e-mail server is required; contact your e-mail Administrator for this information) for property as:
smtp.host=aa.bb.cc.ddSubstitute the IP address or fully qualified host name of the SMTP host for aa.bb.cc.dd .
If your Managing Server Visualization Engine is not running on default port 9080, set up the Visualization Engine port for e-mail notifications. See Set up the Visualization Engine port for e-mail notifications.
