Custom installation: creating the DB2 account users (optional) - UNIX
You can create the DB2 Administration Server, DB2 Fenced, and DB2 Instance accounts before you begin the installation, even if you are performing an embedded installation of IBM DB2. When creating these accounts, make sure of the following:
- The passwords have been set.
- You can log into the system with these users.
- The home directories are accessible.
- You have this information available when you start the installation of the Managing Server.
