Launching the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server

Launch the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server. You have two options:


Launching the user interface

From the Windows Desktop

  1. Click the launch icon labeled ITCAMfWAS.

  2. Log in as the Admin user that you specified during Managing Server installation.

From Internet Explorer

  1. Start Internet Explorer.

  2. Type the URL of the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server in the Address box and press Enter. Use the following format: http://hostname:port/am/home

    ...where port is the HTTP port specified in the WAS administrative console that the Managing Server will use to connect to the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server.

    Notes:

    1. If your WAS is not configured to be served on port 80, and you have not set up an HTTP server to do so, you have to include the port number in the URL. For example, the default HTTP port that the Managing Server will use to connect to the ITCAM for Application Diagnostics Managing Server is port 9080. On IBM i5/OS, it is 9444.

      This port can be found in the following location: AppServer_home\profiles\profile_name\config\cells\cell_name\nodes\node_name\serverindex.xml. Look for WC_defaulthost.

    2. Make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off.

  3. Log in as one of the following users that you specified during Managing Server installation:

    • Typical installation: Product
    • Custom installation: User Interface
