Historical data collection in Linux - J2EE agent

If your site uses Linux as its operating environment, synchronize historical data collection at the agent with the time zone of the Tivoli Enterprise Portal client. To do this, set a time zone variable in the Linux /etc/profile file. For example, to set the Linux time zone to the U.S. Pacific time zone:

1. Perform one of the following actions:

   For Red Hat Linux, set:

   ZONE="US/Pacific"
   export ZONE

   For SuSE/Novell Linux, set:

   TIMEZONE="US/Pacific"
   export TIMEZONE

2. Reboot your Linux computer.
