Appearance preference
Overview
You can select the appearance preference to show version details of the package you are installing.
When the option is selected, you see the internal version of a package during the installation process. The internal version includes the release number, year, month, day, and package ID. The internal version of a package does not show in the Appearance page.
Show the internal version of a package
- Start IBM Installation Manager in console mode: imcl -c.
- Enter P: Preferences.
- Enter 2: Appearance.
- Enter 1: Show the internal version for the package. The option is selected when [X] shows.
- Enter A: Apply Changes and Return to Preferences Menu. Enter P: Temporarily Keep Changes and Return to Preferences Menu if you want to make more changes to preferences before saving changes to the repositories.
- Enter C: Cancel to exit preferences. Enter S: Save All Changes to save changes if you selected to temporarily keep your changes.
