Install multiple packages into multiple locations

Use IBM Installation Manager to install packages to different locations at the same time.

This feature is new in Installation Manager version 1.4.1.

You cannot modify or roll back multiple packages that are located in different locations at the same time.

When you install multiple packages into multiple locations, you must accept all license agreements to continue the installation. It is not possible to accept a license agreement for one package and not accept a license agreement for another package. To view the license agreements, click the License Agreement entry for each package.

When you select more than one package to install, Installation Manager uses information from the packages to determine the package group to install the package into. You can use the default installation location or specify a different installation location for each package group. To change the package group during a package installation, you must install each package separately.

For the language selection, you select languages for only one of the package groups. A message shows on the screen indicating the package group that you are selecting languages for. You cannot select languages for each package nor can you select languages for each of the different package groups.

The packages share the same shared resource directory. You select the shared resource directory when installing the first package.
