Installing the Curam software

An IBM Curam Social Program Management installation is required in the Curam Application Development Environment. IBM Curam Social Program Management is distributed as a series of installations. The Curam Social Program Management Platform is the required starting point, followed by a series of optional components. Ensure that you have the required installers and all of the required information before you start the installation.


About this task

For installation on Microsoft Windows operating systems, each installer is provided as a .exe file.

You need the Curam platform installer, plus individual installers for each component you plan to install. Typically, you install enterprise and solution modules, and optional associated add-ons.

During the installation, all installation process and the installation history are saved to the following log files:

  1. Preparing to install the Curam software
    Gather the required information and complete any required preparation steps before you start the installation.
  2. Installing the Curam platform software
    Run the platform installer to install the base platform upon which all the other modules are installed.
  3. Installing the Curam enterprise modules
    Install each of the Curam enterprise modules that are mandatory for the Health Care Reform feature.
  4. Installing the Curam program-based offerings
    Install the Curam program-based offerings to which you are entitled.
  5. Installing a fix pack
    After you install Curam Social Program Management, install and required fix packs. A fix pack involves moving from one minor release to another within a point version, for example, from 6.0.5.0 to 6.0.5.1.
  6. Uninstalling the application
    During installation of the IBM Curam Social Program Management application software, an uninstallation file is created in the %CURAM%\Uninstaller\uninstaller.jar directory. You can use this file to uninstall the application.
