Checking a Client's Schedule and Availability to Attend a Service

For both services and referrals, the period of time during which the service should be provided to the client is recorded. A start date must be specified. An end date is optional. Once a start date is specified, a case worker can check the client's availability for the dates specified.

Any services, referrals or meetings already scheduled for the dates specified are displayed to the case worker. This ensures that the case worker does not schedule activities during periods when the client is involved in other activities.

A configuration setting is provided for services which dictates if they should be returned when checking availability. For example, it would not be necessary to include a service that reimburses a client's mileage expenses as this is not a service that a client attends.
