Adding external software dependencies

The external service wizard needs certain files from the Siebel Business Applications server to communicate with it.

You must be running the external service wizard in IBM Integration Designer to perform this task.

To obtain the required files and specify their locations, use the following procedure.

Procedure

  1. Obtain the Siebel dependency JAR files from your Siebel Business Applications administrator or the workstation on which the Siebel Business Applications server is installed. Depending on the version of Siebel Business Applications you use, the software dependencies differ. The following table lists the dependency files needed by supported versions of Siebel Business Applications. The files are shown with the corresponding external service wizard property names.

External software dependency files required by Siebel Business Applications
external service wizard property name Required dependency files for Siebel Business Applications (versions 7.5 and earlier) Required dependency files for Siebel Business Applications (versions 7.7x, 7.8x, 8.0, and 8.1.1)
    Siebel.jar None Siebel.jar
    SiebelJI_<language code>.jar SiebelJI_< language code>.jar (for example, SiebelJI_enu.jar) SiebelJI_< language code>.jar (for example, SiebelJI_enu.jar)
    SiebelJI_Common.jar SiebelJI_Common.jar None

  2. Copy the files to a local folder on the workstation where you run the external service wizard.

  3. In the Locate the Required Files and Libraries window, click Browse for each property to select the location of the file.

The following figure shows sample values for the files.
