Resolving the 'emitnull' error


Problem

During inbound processing, WebSphere Adapter for IBM i generates the "Did not find method for native method 'emitnull'" error message and does not deliver events to the endpoint.


Cause

This error is caused if the defaultObjectName is not set. For the stand-alone deployment of WebSphere Adapter for IBM i, the defaultObjectName must be set in the IBM BPM Process Administrative Console.


Solution

To resolve this error, set the defaultObjectName with the generated business object name. In general, defaultObjectName is the concatenation of business object prefix and poll queue name. The defaultObjectName will be the same as the generated business object name.
