The external service wizard

The external service wizard provides a blueprint to create services from existing elements like business objects.

Use the external service wizard to configure your adapter before it is deployed to IBM BPM or WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus. Using the external service wizard, you can create business object schema files (XSD files), build service descriptions, define connection properties for the mail server, and generate business objects that contain everything the adapter needs to conduct inbound and outbound communication.

You can use the external service wizard to generate business objects from the XSD files. The external service wizard builds the service descriptors that are adapter-specific artifacts used in import, export, and WSDL files. Also, you define the connection properties by typing the name or IP address of the mail server and the user ID and password needed to access it. The external service wizard then generates the business objects through which WebSphere Adapter for Email provides operations to send and receive emails.
