Server access denied exception

To make Enterprise Metadata Discovery (EMD) function workable, you must enable HTTP clients to browse Domino databases.


Symptoms:

During the EMD process, when you click the Run Query option, an exception message is displayed with the information:

“If sException: Server access denied”.


Problem:

The Lotus Domino server does not allow HTTP clients to browse databases.


Solution:

To correct this problem, configure the Lotus Domino server to allow HTTP clients to browse databases.

  1. In IBM Domino Administrator, click the Configuration tab.

  2. Click to expand the Server node in the left pane, and then click the Current Server Document.

  3. Click the Internet Protocols tab. The HTTP tab is selected by default.

  4. In the R5 Basics section, select Yes for the Allow HTTP clients to browse Domino databases option.
