Setting up collaboration features for business users
BPM provides several features that allow business users to collaborate with other users while working with processes.
Within the Process Portal environment, users can request help from other users, collaborate in real time with other users on task completion, and communicate through messages in the process activity stream. All of these features are available without any configuration of your process applications. However, you can also enable users to chat with one another using Lotus Sametime Connect. You can also specify a set of expert users for a given activity so that users can immediately identify the best person to ask for assistance in completing a task.
- Enabling Sametime Connect integration for Process Portal
You can enable instant messaging support to allow your end users to communicate in real time with others in the organization as they work on process activities.
- Identifying expert users for an activity
Business users working with your process applications can collaborate or request assistance from a set of expert users associated with a given task or activity. This list of experts appears in the Experts panel in the Process Portal environment.- Enabling IBM Connections integration for business card support in Process Portal
If your environment is configured for IBM Connections (formerly known as Lotus Connections), you can enable business card support in Process Portal. When your users click an avatar or a name, the business card information is displayed.
