Postpone Task

You can use the Postpone Task element to halt processing without changing the status of a task.

The Postpone Task element allows a task to stay in suspension for future processing. It helps postpone the completion of the task. The state of the service is saved for later retrieval.

For example, if you are waiting for information so that you can complete work on a task, you might want to postpone this work until you receive the information you need. The Postpone task element allows you to do just that. When the Postpone is reached, the task is returned back to the inbox where it can be claimed again.

While the Postpone Task saves the current execution context of a Human service it also closes any associated open Coaches. When the task is opened from the inbox later, execution starts at the exit port of the Modify Task control.
