Connecting to the asset repository
Before you can search for assets, you must connect to the asset repository.
You must have a supported version of IBM Rational Asset Manager (7.1, 7.1.0.1, 7.1.1, or 7.1.1.1) installed, and you must have selected the option to install the Asset Repository feature when installed the Business Monitor development toolkit.
To connect to the asset repository:
Procedure
- Click New Asset Management Repository Connection
on the main toolbar. Alternatively, you can connect from the Asset Repositories view by clicking Create connections to asset repositories or, if you do not see that option, by right-clicking the view and selecting New Repository Connection.
- In the URL field, type the URL that connects to your Rational Asset Manager server.
- In the User name and Password fields, type your user ID and password.
- Click Finish to connect to the asset repository.
Results
You receive a message that the new repository connection was successfully created, and the Asset Repositories view opens.If the Rational Asset Manager administrator changes your role in the asset repository after you have connected, you will have to start Integration Designer or Rational Application Developer again for the role change to take effect.
