Work with timetables (IBM WebSphere Business Modeler)

Business calendars are referred to as timetables (TT) in IBM WebSphere Business Modeler. The business calendar artifacts are exported to a PI (Project Interchange) file which is then imported by IBM Integration Designer.

Business calendars that have been created in and imported from IBM WebSphere Business Modeler should not be edited after being imported. Editing the business calendar may result in conflicts and this should be avoided if at all possible. Upon saving an imported IBM WebSphere Business Modeler business calendar after editing it, you will see the following warning:

This calendar was created in another application. To avoid conflicts, do not modify this calendar. Do you want to save the calendar?

In IBM Integration Designer, you can create both flat and hierarchical calendars. Generally you start by creating a flat calendar to which you can add and remove references. When you add references, it becomes a hierarchical calendar. Calendars exported from IBM WebSphere Business Modeler are generally hierarchical.

IBM WebSphere Business Modeler cannot import calendars authored in IBM Integration Designer.
