Transferring files

Use the Transfer Files tab to move files between IBM Integration Designer and an appliance.

Familiarize yourself with the requirements and limitations associated with transferring files. See Considerations for file transfers.

You must have a WebSphere DataPower library defined in your project or solution before you can transfer files to and from an appliance; all files are uploaded from or downloaded to this library.

To transfer files to or from an appliance, perform one of the following tasks.

• Downloading files from an appliance
  Use the Transfer Files tab to download files from an appliance to a WebSphere DataPower library defined in an IBM Integration Designer project.
• Uploading files to an appliance
  Use the Transfer Files tab to upload files from a WebSphere DataPower Library in your project to an appliance on the network.
• Considerations for file transfers
  Adhering to the following guidelines can help prevent errors during file transfers.
