Manage recorded events

You can view all recorded events by a specific model, delete events, export events to a file, and import events from a file into your IBM Business Monitor database.

The actions in the following scenario show how using the recorded events functions can benefit your environment:

1. First, start the event recording function so that all events going to the CEI server are recorded.
2. Develop a monitor model and deploy it to your IBM Business Monitor server.

3. The system retrieves and processes all of the model's incoming common based events.

4. After the model application executes, you can refine the monitor model with new metric added. The already completed monitoring context instances should not have this new metric set value.

5. You deploy the new model version, or uninstall the old model and redeploy the monitor model.
6. Play back the recorded events onto the new model version.

7. The new model version generates instances after processing the recorded events with the new metric set values for each instance.
