Create a web service

You can create services with IBM Integration Designer assembly editor...

• Import standard web services and make use of these services in composite applications.
• Develop a Java service and expose it as both a web service and through SCA.
• Implement the service using business rules.
• Provide interface mapping

Create modules, mediation modules, libraries, and components. Use exports, imports, and bindings to share and access those services.

1. Create an export

2. Generate a binding for the export.
   • Generate a web service binding for the export.
   • Generate an HTTP export binding.

3. Create an import

4. Generate a binding for the import.
   • Generate a web service binding for the import.
   • Generate an HTTP import binding.

5. Optional: Invoke a web service from JavaServer Pages.

Enable the required capability?

IBM Integration Designer provides a filtering function known as capabilities. In the Preferences settings, functions and tools are categorized into capabilities and you can enable and disable categories of capabilities or the subset functions of any category.
