Configure a stand-alone environment with an SQL Server database server on AIX
You can configure a stand-alone environment for IBM BPM using a Microsoft SQL Server database server.
- Create SQL Server databases
IBM BPM requires a Process Server database, Performance Data Warehouse database, and Common database. The Common database contains Business Space and other components. You must create the databases before ND.- Create database design files for SQL Server
You can specify the design of your database configuration by using the database design tool. The design can be for a specific component or for an enterprise-level database configuration supporting the full functionality of IBM BPM.
- Create or augment stand-alone profiles with an SQL Server database server
You can create profiles using PMT or manageprofiles.sh. You can augment an existing profile instead of creating a new one if you have an existing WebSphere Application Server V8.0 profile.
- Configure SQL Server databases after stand-alone profile creation
If you did not create the tables for the databases while creating or augmenting profiles, you or your database administrator must create the databases and their tables manually, and you must also run the bootstrapProcessServerData command before you try to start or use the IBM BPM server.
