Installing BPM Advanced on a single machine

You can install IBM BPM Advanced with Process Center, Process Designer, Integration Designer, Business Monitor, and a Process Server test environment on a single machine. You can install the advanced edition of IBM BPM on a single machine to evaluate the product or to work offline.

Use this task to create your IBM BPM environment on a single machine, including the following requirements:


Procedure

  1. Install IBM BPM, Advanced. Use the following information to complete this step: Install IBM BPM Advanced. Choose the Process Center path in the typical installation process.

    Remember: Install IBM BPM Advanced also installs Process Designer.

  2. Use pmt.sh to create a Process Server profile. Use the following information to complete this step:

  3. Install Business Monitor. Use the following information to complete this step: Installing the IBM BPM software

  4. Install Integration Designer.

    1. Prepare the installation using the following information: Prepare to install

    2. Use the launchpad to perform the installation with the following information: Installing from the product launchpad Choose the last option: Install Integration Designer only.

  5. Specify the Process Server test environment. Use the following information to configure the Process Server test environment: Create servers in the test environment

What to do next

You are ready to use IBM BPM on your machine:

  1. Start Process Center.

  2. Start Process Designer or IBM Integration Designer.

    Tip: Close Process Designer or Integration Designer if you are not using them for an extended period of time.

  3. Start your Process Server unit test environment, as needed.
