Decide which configuration to install
IBM BPM is available in four configurations:
- Advanced
- Advanced: Process Server
- Standard
- Express
Existing systems What capabilities and support are required? Install Project-level adoption: You are starting your first business process management project and are looking primarily for rapid time-to-value and improving user productivity.
Execution compatible with WebSphere Lombardi Edition IBM Process Designer authoring tool Collaborative editing and immediate playback Interactive user interfaces ILOG-based process rules Real-time monitoring and reporting
Performance analytics and optimizer Performance Data Warehouse IBM Process Center, with a shared asset repository Up to three process authors and 200 users Two cores for developers, four cores for the product, but no clustering Windows and Linux on Intel support IBM BPM Express Multiple projects: Your enterprise is involved in multiple business process management projects and requires basic integration support.
All the capabilities of IBM BPM Express, plus the following capabilities and support: Unlimited authors and users Clustering support for high availability Linux on System z, AIX, and Solaris support Network deployment support DB2 for z/OS support IBM BPM Standard Transformative: Your enterprise requires high-volume process automation and needs additional SOA components for extensive service integration and orchestration.
All the capabilities and high-availability support of IBM BPM Standard, plus the following capabilities and support:
Execution compatible with WebSphere Process Server IBM Integration Designer authoring (BPEL and SOA) Built-in enterprise service bus (ESB) Transaction support Integration adapters Business Space user interface IBM BPM Advanced Enterprise currently uses an earlier version of Process Server alone. You want to update to the latest release or you want to install IBM BPM for z/OS. All the Process Server-related capabilities and high-availability support of IBM BPM Advanced. Does not include Process Designer or Process Center. Available for installing on z/OS. IBM BPM Advanced: Process Server
