Migrating your IBM BPM Advanced V7.5.x or WebSphere Process Server V7.x or V6.2.x runtime

IBM BPM provides facilities for migrating from previous runtime products or versions. In runtime migration, the configuration of the production topology, the product databases, and the product data in the databases are all migrated to V8.0.1 by a consistent set of procedures and tools.

If you are migrating the target runtime environment to this version of IBM BPM, you can run the applications that you previously deployed. However, if you want to edit those applications, you must also install the version of IBM Integration Designer that is compatible with your IBM BPM version.

• Plan the runtime migration
  Use runtime migration procedures and tools to migrate topology configuration, applications, and databases to the new version of IBM BPM. The runtime migration procedures and tools support both stand-alone and ND environment migrations, as well as variants that include migration to a remote system, migration while an operating system is being upgraded to a supported version, and ND variants to support full downtime migration windows and minimal downtime migration windows.
