Plan phase
The planning phase of a migration project involves scheduling of required tasks while considering various factors.
Creating detailed plans for each phase of the Teamworks 6 to IBM BPM V8.0.1 migration is crucial to the overall success of the project. Consider the following guidelines when developing your project plans.
Create a project plan and schedule, based on the following factors:
- Number and severity of issues identified by the Upgrade Readiness Check tool.
- Number of servers to be migrated.
- Number of process instances to be migrated.
- Number of process states in the BPDs to be tested.
Ensure that the project plan addresses the following tasks, which are not covered in detail in this guide:
- Procuring and installing necessary hardware and prerequisite software.
- Developing a regression test suite if you do not already have one.
- Cataloging configuration changes and customizations to the current servers.
Ensure that you plan to test all process components:
- Develop a set of tests before migrating to ensure that problems discovered during the migration are not pre-existing problems.
- If you have benchmarks for your processes, run them before migrating so that you have a basis for comparison.
