Hardware and software resources

To prepare for a migration project, you should understand the hardware and software resources required.

For IBM BPM, install the Process Center and at least one runtime environment. You should use separate runtime environments for testing, staging, and production purposes.

For detailed hardware and software requirements, refer to the appropriate installation and configuration information for your IBM BPM V8.0.1 configuration.

Be sure to allocate resources and time in your project plan for addressing changes to supporting systems.

Migrating from Teamworks 6 may require that install a new version of the underlying database system.

For example, if you use Oracle in your environment, Teamworks 6 requires Oracle Database 10g, while IBM BPM V8.0.1 requires Oracle Database 11g.
