Service Browser

Use the Service Browser widget to list services defined in WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR). In addition, use the Service Browser widget to administer the mediation policies associated with the services.

The Service Browser widget can list services that are defined in an instance of WSRR. For every instance of WSRR, you must have a WSRR definition in WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus (WebSphere ESB) or IBM BPM.

In the WSDL file that defines a target service, the service is described at different levels. The following levels are displayed by the Service Browser widget: service, endpoint, and operation.

If you have a Mediation Policy Administration widget, after you select a service, endpoint, or operation the Mediation Policy Administration widget is refreshed. Using the Mediation Policy Administration widget you can work with mediation policies attached to target services.

Initial widget details

Initially, the Service Browser widget displays the following information:

The service name is repeated under Mediation Policies to show that you can work with services in relation to mediation policies.

Icons are used to indicate whether a name refers to a service, endpoint, or operation. In addition, when you select a level under Mediation Policies, the Mediation Policy Administration widget displays the level.
